Child-led, Play based Outdoor Learning & Adventure
Aimed at any child five years and older in the wider Whangarei area, who would benefit from taking a mid-week break from their traditional or home based Schooling
There are a few things we will do everyday as familiar routines: Feed the animals, visit the creek & share some stories around the fire circle.
We have the ability to move around the property as each day dictates. Explore new and varied environments, or return to the 'Bush base' to complete projects or hit the waterslide / light some fires.
Swing building, Traditional fire lighting & cooking, Flax darts, Eel & Koura catching (& releasing), Bike track, tree climbing, bush bashing, hut building, Dam making etc.
A board may authorise any students to
make visits outside the school premises; and where the board has done so, a student shall be deemed to be attending the school while undertaking the course, obtaining the experience, or making the visit.
It is expected that students will sign up for the entire term, and payment will be required two weeks in advance, with a two week cancellation period in force.
Discounts are available for early full payment and / or multiple children
The college graciously allows us to meet and depart from the school grounds. however the day is spent on private land down the back.
